I lost and got it back :-]

Last weekend, I had a nice sleep after lunch and started feeling like going out by evening. I asked my wife, shall we go out? I got a response back saying "yes" and we have to get the groceries for this month. Then I realized the mistake I have done but I can't do much about it now. I had to get ready and go to a super market with a big list of things to buy with my wife and 10 months old daughter. After spending 1 hr in searching required things and putting them in the cart I paid the bill with my credit card and asked the guy to deliver the things to my home.

I started back to my home, on the way my wife found good fruits in a fruit stall. she got down from my bike and I was holding my daughter on the bike itself. My wife asked me for money once the things are given. I gave my wallet to my wife and she paid the money to the vendor and gave me back the money. This shop is just end of my street. I took it and kept on my bike's tank. Once my wife sat on the bike I handed over my daughter to her and started my bike. As soon as my bike moved my wallet fell off :(

I came back home and sat for sometime and my wife asked me the bill details of our shopping. then I kept my hand in pocket and realized that there is no wallet there. It is a panic moment when you know that 3 credit cards and 2 debit cards and 2000 Rs cash is lost, to add some more value to this Original Driving License :)
I should say my wife's face was really in tension and started becoming red with in a minute. Though I was in tension I said, OK, don't worry I will walk back to that place and see if I could find it. I went through the road making my whole body as eyes to find my wallet back. I know for sure it is impossible to find it on the road anyway. Still hope keeps us alive, so I tried from my side without any luck.

After 10 mins I have decided to block my credit cards because the delay in doing this may cause big loss of money. My condition for money is really bad after booking a flat in Bangalore a month back. I can't afford a sing;le rupee loss in my current condition. I started my laptop to login and get my card numbers, suddenly my mobile started ringing..... This was the builder, to my surprise he asked me the first question "Have you lost your wallet ?" with a surprised voice I said yes. He said don't worry somebody got it and they gave me a call to find your number. I just wanted to make sure it is correct or not, take down his number and call him.

I thanked "GOD" that time really by saying "you proved that you exist". I called that guy immediately, he told me where to go to get it. I ran to that place and he was waiting for me. I didn't notice that somebody stand next to my bike and watching me and my daughter. His name is "ChandraMouli" and working for DELL as senior analyst. He took my wallet immediately and saw my visiting card in that, but unfortunately my mobile number was not there in my card. So he started looking at other visiting cards in that and found my builders card and called him for my name. I surprised with that and asked how did you came to know this my mine and remaining are someone else. He smiled and said I think you are still in tension, just relax. Your license is also there in your wallet ;). I thanked him many times, he said he has to go somewhere and friends are waiting for a party then I had to take leave before we exchanged our mobile numbers. till date I couldn't call him back but still I owe him a party for sure.

This is the story of this week. So far .......soo goooood.

Journey Of Comedy in Tollywood

Telugu Film Industry which is now known as Tollywood. I don't know from when it became Tollywood, but the comedy of this industry must be much older than this name. I don't know when the first comedy movie got released, still I am sure it is started from the time of Dumb movies. I believe the first Indian movie was "Raja Harishchandra(1913)" must have some comedy scenes for sure.In early 1940's we started having Talkie movies. Though I am very young to talk about the comedy from beginning of Cinema industry in India, Whatever movies I have seen I feel there is tremendous changes happened in each and every section of the cinema like Direction, Music and Technology like Animation and last but not least Acting of Actors [I don't want to comment on any Hero now :P]. But here ...

I would like to write some of my comments on the Comedy those I noticed from many years. I watched many movies from 1950's till now. I think "Mayabazar" and "Patalabhairavi" came in 1950's. From that time I watched many movies till now.
I think Ramana Reddy and Relangi would be the first slot of full time comedians in telugu industry. I could remember many of those actors scenes by watching it you could laugh for hours. Even if you remember some scenes you cannot control your laughter.
I would say Relangi acting in Mayabazar, Missamma, Illarikam, Narthanasala and many more.
My favorite dialog of Relangi is 'Tailam ...Tailam padayyendi sir' and "Sundari aha Sundari" song in Mayabazar.
Relangi
Relangi is one of the finest comedians Telugu industry has got, and nobody can deny that too.
I should mention is acting in both Social movies as well as Pouraanikams. He was the best suite for Uttara Kumarudu who is jealous of Abhimanyu in Mayaabazar. Another best example would be in missamma movie he ask bribe to ANR every time he ask some info about the NTR and savitri's flash back. Those sequences are really great and ever green.

Ramana Reddy
His personality is a big plus for Ramana Reddy and his expressions are tremendous in some movies. You can not stop laughing if you see the song "Ayayo chetilo Poyene" from Kulagothralu.
In Gundamma kadha he is brother of Suryakantam, his character in this movie is mix of cunning villan but still he could produce much comedy out of it.

I think after these two legendary comedians the industry trend got changed a little bit. I believe the comedians got more prominence and some are settled as a comedy villeins as well. the next person in that list would be Allu Ramalingiah and Rajababu. In this the variation is Allu was from the period of Relangi and Ramana Reddy he was doing very small roles in those films where the charm was taken by Relangi most of the times. He could pick up well in 1970's. I think it started from Sambarala Rambabu and Andala Ramudu.

Allu Rama Lingaiah
He is great comedian and actor for sure. I would say he is an actor rather than a Comedian. because he acted as character artist in many movies and his performance in those movies also was extraordinary. I should give examples of Andala Ramudu as "Tee Taa" Teesesina Taseeldaar he could generate some healthy humor. I personally like the his performance in Sankarabharanam movie as Raju friend of Sankara Shastry. His best dialog was "meeru yaajulu memu raajulam" okari maata okaru gouravinchukovali mari. ee saariki ala kanicheyyandi.

The next one in the list none other than Rajababu and Padmanabham. When they became popular the comedy trend got little changed. Padmanabham played some good characters and Rajababu was also prooved himself as a good actor through "Tata Manavadu" but the comedy trend became little bit changed. They started getting priority and most of the times these characters are around Hero and praising hero all the time. Some seperate comedy tracks irrespective of movie scope. This is not at all relevant to the main story and creating some songs just for fun with some side actress. This song trend went for many years for comedians in the industry.

We need a Software God?

Hey,

Software Engineer, very easy to detect him as he will be very sad on Monday and happy on Friday.
Of course there are exceptions to all .... coz there are people working on 24*7 support also :-(
And in today's world the life of millions of people is in 1's and 0's.
Best example lies here.

Anyway that is not our topic now. I was lately facing many technical problems and I was praying god to solve all my problems. but I was thinking which GOD would be best suited for this.

Because in Indian mythology there are specific gods for specific things. Like for Rains you should pray Varuna Dev and for Money you should pray Lakshmi Devi and so on....
when our ancestors defined these gods they don't know computer and software, hardware, technical support etc. otherwise they would have defined the gods for each purpose. Now if we have a .Net or Java or QTP code issue or we are unable to solve a server level issue like clustering or data replication or concurrency issues, to whom I have to pray.

By now you might be saving that what the heck....... Ravi doesn't know the software God yet !!!

How could he survive for these many years in software with out knowing a software God ?

Yes you are right ....

I already know your answer Search Engine (and now most of the people refer this as Google).

But I think this is not God... This calls a debate among us, but I this is more like a "Binary Code Man".
This Binary Code Man means it is like a super hero, HeMan, SpiderMan or a SuperMan. This will give us info if it has and most of the complex problems will have many solutions in forums which are not suitable for you or misleading. Yes, I do agree that this will definitely point you to something which will be useful for you. But it might not solve your complete problem as expected.
So, I mean there are always limitations to the Super heros. But anything is possible to God. I would like to have some Gods to pray when I am stuck with complex problems.

If you too think the same, lets pray to some other god to grant us a god who will take care of this new portfolio called Computers and Software, later we might think to add more categories like Tech support and BPO in the same God's profile.

Arriving to Angasana :) Anwar looking eager ...

After a long time I started scribbling on my blog. I was too busy with the spring security for many days... @ last we were able to finish the "Login Revamp". I was suppose to talk here about the Team building activities we have done for 2 days in Angasana Resort, Bangalore. These 2 days are unforgettable for many of us. This event was organized by APC by Schneider Electric, ES3 team lead by Gana.

Many interesting things happened in these 2 days of interaction among the team. I should introduce some interesting characters of the team, of course I may miss some people here. Please forgive me for this. Firstly I should introduce the trainers Zeb (from Africa) and Shankar from India.
Zeb is psychologist and the other one was event manager. They both planned many games and sports where we have to build a team and work hard to achieve the target with the team. I believe most of us might have attended these kind of event some time or the other.
and I forgot to mention we have 2 guests for this training Morten and --- from Denmark.

Event I:
Laughter Therapy:
This is a kind of Munnai bhai MBBS theory where you have to shoot somebody and say huhu... haha.... or in the way old bollywood movie villan style hahahaaha over the phone.
This was just 10 mins act to mingle crowd with each other well. This was good and had fun with the laughter guns !!!

Gana, Don't shoot !!!

Event II:
Ball passing by making a huge circle with a distance of 1-2 feet. When the organizer asked us how many rounds we could make the ball rotate without failing to drop it once. If ball drops we have to restart the counter from '0'. We gave an estimate of 40 rounds in the beginning and we could only complete 5 I guess. Then we realized passing a ball from 25 hands is pretty difficult ;)

Highlights :
Red ball, Heavy Ball, Plastic Ball, Weird Ball, .... These are the word we shouted before we pass the ball to next person. And the blame game after the event is done as usual... Some X person dropped the ball first time and so on..... If you would not drop it we could have achieved the target. Best team to build it seems ;-)

HVPM Sports Week - 2004

After a long time I activated my blog activities. So, here I would like to re memorize you all the week of sports- 2004 in HVPM. Our department has started this initiative of sports week as our management of the college belongs to a sports organization first then into technical studies. Whatever may be the reason we got the opportunity to show our sports man spirit in this week. The day we came to know about this everybody started talking about the only sport called “Cricket” as if there is only one sport in India. (May be we want to prove ourselves as true Indians :) Our regular chat point was library not canteen unlike other colleges (PS: usually libraries are the silent places) After seeing the notice board we went to library and started talking about cricket and people started boasting about their skills of cricket. Then I thought its going to be fun and took a notebook and started writing guy’s name and their skill. Then I could sense the real fun, guy’s started coming to me and telling “I am a batsman”, ”I am a spinner” and “I am a captain”. The last statement annoyed me a little bit. Then I asked this guy how come you are telling that you are a captain, this guy said I played University level matches and I was the captain of my team there. I said that’s cool.

Now we ( Me, Harya, Nitya, Dinesh and Lungikar ) as I know these people are already good players. Harya played ranji level cricket and Lungi played university level cricket. They started short listing the people from the list I have. They came up with the best 11 people from the list and said this would be our team. I forgot to mention the best player I mean best off Spinner of the team Ankush Athale. You will read more about this person in next few paragraphs.

After this decision there are many different opinions in the class. By evening all others who were not considered for the team A ( Best of SYMCA) started another lobby and created a team B (Other than the best). The next two days went in estimating the other teams FY, TY MCA team’s strengths and weakness. Then we came to know that Staff also started planning to make their team. Still people are not sure how their team will be and who could play up to what extent. The team A gave their team name as "Sharaara" influence by "Mohabbatein" movie. Then the other team anyways knew as not the best team and influence by "Nikamma kiya is dil ne" kept their name as "Nikamme".

The practice sessions started and Sharara team started their practice as if they are going for international match with Aussies or IPL match with Mumbai Indians :) Nikamme as usual no practice but all are doing at their home with galli cricket. After few days series got started and the day of the match with our team (Sharaara) and juniors team started. There are much more expectations on this team as all big players are in here. But the Bollywood rule applied to our match also. (Bollywood Rule: Hype increase for any movie it goes flop.) Now you can expect the end result easily. As our team started to loose the match there were many comments started coming from juniors saying seniors are useless and all. But here somebody from juniors commented something on us and Ankush Athale got reacted to this comment very seriously and started scolding him in very high pitch, as this guy was already out and waiting for the last formality of declaring the match result. Then everybody's attention started moving towards these people and even the junior (I don't want to name this fellow) started shouting "Shame on u” kind of words in front of all girls.
Anyways we somehow subside this issue here and we went to hostel. We all know this is just a game and the time was not ours that day. but the very next day out B (Nikamme) played against our seniors and won the match dramatically. This increased our class spirits and then the next plan was to switch the people who have not played well in the B with the good players in A. which was kept secret till the end of the next match with the staff. The match started and somebody from the lobby shouted that some players were already played with team A and now playing with team B, but for 1-2 people we could manage to keep as a substitute of the other person and all. But we had to loose some people. In this match I guess Ankush was the key player who gave away 10 -15(I don't remember the exact number now ) runs as extras and this was the major contribution in their win.
In the next match there was something more serious happened. I guess this is the first time I say a spinner who got twisted his both legs and fell on the ground. This great guy was none other than our Nikamma player Chotu Yadav. This is approximately 100 kg in weight and he fell flat on his other leg while bowling as his left leg got completely twisted upside down including bone. But fortunately our college is a Physical education college we have lot of sports people around. Some MPEd students came to see the problem while somebody I guess Piyush Jain came with a Luna to pick this guy to Hospital. That MPEd student said please call ambulance while he twisted this guy's leg to the normal position with his hands while we were watching this as act with stunning faces.
Fortunately Chotu Yadav was able to walk after a week because of the MPEd guy's immediate treatment. After all these things happend the sports week was a good memory for us but we couldn't win the cup.
The only relief for us is me and Cherya ( Mahesh Charegoankar ) won the badminton doubles title in the indoor stadium on the closing day. For which we had a huge party till 1 in the mid night in "Kaash", Which we cannot forget ever. This party happened in rain with all our seniors and juniors in the hostel.

నా దారి గోదారి - పాపి కొండలు !!!

నేను మొన్న సంక్రాంతి సెలవులకి అంటే ఆఫీసు కి సెలవు పెట్టి ఇంటికి రాజమండ్రి వెళ్లి నప్పుడు గోదారి గట్టుకి వెళ్లి కొంచెం సేపు సేదతీరే ప్రయత్నం చేశాను ఎందుకంటే ఈ బెంగలూరు మహా గ్రామం లో అలంటి అవకాసం లేదు కనక మా ఊరు వెళ్ళినప్పుడు మాత్రమె అది సాధ్యం. కాని ఈ సారి ఎందుకో నాకు శేకర్ కమ్ముల తీసిన గోదావరి సినిమా గుర్తొచ్చి మనం కూడా ఓ లాంచీ ఎక్కి ఓ రోజంతా గోదావరి మీద గడిపితే ఎలా ఉంటుందో అని వెంటనే టికెట్స్ బుక్ చేసాను.

ఈ లాంచీ ప్రయాణం ఒక మంచి అనుభూతిని ఇట్చింది మా అందరికి. ఈ ప్రయాణం లో ఈ మధ్య చాల రకాల ప్యాకజీలు ఉన్నాయ్. ముఖ్యంగా ఒక రోజు లేదా రెండు రోజులు ప్యాకజీలు ఉంటై. ఒకరోజు అంటే పొద్దుట ఏడు గంటలకి బస్సు లో రాజమండ్రి నుంచి తీసుకు వెళ్లి బోటు ఎక్కిస్తారు ఇది నీటి మట్టాన్ని బట్టి రాజమండ్రి లేదా పట్టిసీమ లేదా పురుషోత్త పట్నం నుంచి ఈ ప్రయాణం మొదలవు తుంది.

మొన్న వినాయక చవితి కి ఇంటికి అంటే అదేనండి మా రాజమండ్రి వెళ్లి తిరిగి వస్తునప్పుడు స్టేషన్ లో ట్రైన్ కోసం వెయిటింగ్ లో ఉండగా బుక్ స్టాల్ లోకి ఓ లుక్ వేస్తె "తప్పు చేద్దాం రండి ...!" అనే పేరు కనపడింది.
పేరు చూసి ఇదేదో కొంచెం ఇంటెరెస్టింగ్ గా ఉంది కదా అనుకుంటూ చేతిలోకి తీసుకుంటే "యండమూరి వీరేంద్రనాథ్" అని ఉంది, చాల రోజుల క్రితం "ప్రేమ" అనే నవల చదివిన గుర్తు.
అలా కొని చదవడం ప్రారంభించిన పుస్తకం ఈ రోజు పూర్తి చెయ్యగలిగాను.
మార్పు మీద ("చేన్జి మానేజ్మెంట్") మీద ఇదివరకు చాల పుస్తకాలు వచ్చాయి నేను కూడా ఒకటి రెండు చదివాను. వాటిలో నాకు చాల నచ్చిన పుస్తకం "Who moved my Cheese".
కాని ఆ పుస్తకాలన్నిటి కి భిన్నంగా ఈ పుస్తకం ఉంది అని ఖచ్చితం గ చెప్పగలను. దానికి కారణం ఒక కధ ని సూటిగా చెప్పేస్తే కధ బాగుంది అనుకుంటాం కాని దీనిలో చాల కధలు ముఖ్య కధకు జోడించి అంతర్లీనం గ ఒకో అంశాన్ని విశ్లేసిస్తూ చెప్పిన విధానం నాకు చాల నచ్చింది. ఆ చిన్న కధల్లో చాల మటుకు ఇంటర్నెట్ లో మెయిల్స్ రూపం లో మనకు తెలిసినవే ఐన వాటిని మనం ఏ విధం గ మన జీవితానికి అన్వించు కోవాలో ఏ కధ మన లోని ఏ పాయింట్ ని వెలికి తీస్తుందో మనం ఎప్పుడు ఆలోచించని విధం గ రాసిన విధం చాల బాగుంది.
ముఖ్యం గ అతడు చెప్పా దల్చుకున్న విషయం ఏమిటి అంటే ప్రతీది కొత్తగ ఆలోచించు అని.
అలా ఎవరో ఆలోచించడం వల్లే ఈ రోజు నేను ఈ బ్లాగ్ హయిగా తెలుగు లో రాయగలుగుతున్నా.
కానీ మొదట అలా ఆలోచించడం తప్పు అని అందరు అంటారు, తర్వాత అలా అన్నవారే దాన్ని (తప్పు )ని అంగీకరిస్తారు.

Exam Time .... [Happy Days XIII]

I am back with some interesting chronicles of college time.
Many students say, the exam time is the worst time they ever had in college time. Usually pupil enjoy the student life and college time very much. But when exams start they all put a full stop to the enjoyment and start study hard till mid nights. I heard this kind of stories from many people.
But I believe my exam days were more relished, because I have an appetite of humor and used made fun of people often. This is time where I used to get many people's leg to pull. I don't say I have a photographic memory but I can write and elaborate things well. This gave me little advantage than others in hostel. I used to read all chapters only once before exam day.
In our hostel some people used to read the whole chapters many times, they used to call this as "revision". That time, I didn't knew this will become a most important jargon of my life ("revision"). But I was never able to do it in my college life.
Some of my friends {I would like to mention their names [ CD, BAID, LOKYA, UNNI ... KOLTE]}
would always had 4-5 revisions for each paper. This is a big surprise for me till date.
The revision master was CD this guy always had 10-15 revisions. I used to sit wearing a short and a vest and sit for hours together with out changing the position. This is one more thing I could never do in my life time. I admire CD in this regard.
His roomie Baid was one more admirable person who never wasted a single minute during this time. I could give one "solid" example for this. We used to go to mess to have our dinner, but this guy don't want to waste the time he used to order a Tiffin to his room. Now you can imagine how many "Revisions" he could have done for each paper.
This is one category of the team .... the other team is Me and Nitin.
We used to play cards every day during the night even the day before the exam. Many people {Seniors} scolded us in many ways, but they couldn't change us. This became our sentiment to play cards before exam. Even we used to play the cards before we leave for exams some times.
{ PS: This was not over confidence, this was just sentiment }
When we started discussing about sentiment .... Some sentiments of our Hostel.
"On the day of Exam we have to hear Devotional Songs in the morning and pray god.
"Tu hi maata.... Tu hi pita hai.." I don't remember the singer name but this was the song we must hear before we leave to any exam."
I still remember this casette became old and it was not playing in the last semester but we somehow made it work for last few exams. { God was on our side for sure...... we all passed the exams.}
I am dam sure about that nobody from our hostel could forget this song in his life time.
Everyday we used to visit the Amba Mandir in the evening after dinner around 7:45- 8:00 PM.
This was the regular time of Aarti & Prashaad in this temple. Most of us never missed Aarti {Don't think this was a "Prashaad" bhakti}.
But before we go to Exam all of us used to visit this temple to pray the Amba.{ To get only those questions we read in the night :P in the exam}

Friends,
I am a fan of cartoons from long time .. .... everybody like cartoons (hopefully)
but you will love some cartoons very much. when I ask many kids they say Tom & Jerry takes the first place of all cartoon characters.
I also love Tom & Jerry a lot but in the recent past I saw somewhere this new cartoon character called "Zoozimps" when I was crawling some site and I liked this cartoon in the first sight.
Don't ask what I liked in this cartoon, may be the big nose, or the stomach or the simple structure of the cartoon or something else...... there could be some similarities between me and zoozimp, which I might not aware of. You could scribble here if you find any similarity.
Now on I have decided to post some poses of my dear Zoozimp on my blog with a name Today's Zoozimp.

భారత దేశం అతి పెద్ద ప్రజాస్వామ్య దేశం అని నేను కొత్తగా ఎవరికీ చెప్పనక్కర్లేదు ఐనప్పటికి నా తృప్తి కోసం చెప్పేస్తున్నా !!
దీనివల్ల మనకు లభించిన ఉపయోగం ఏమిటి అంటే నా ఉద్దేశ్యం సామాన్య ప్రజానీకానికి వచ్చిన ఉపయోగం ఏమిటి అని ?
అదేమిటి రాజ్యాంగం ఓటు హక్కు ఇట్చింది కదా అనేవాళ్ళు చాల మంది ఉన్నారు. కాని నాది ఒక చిన్న ప్రశ్న, మీలో ఎంత మంది ఇప్పటి దాక తమ అమూల్యమైన ఓటు హక్కు వినియోగించు కున్నారు? నేను ఇప్పటి దాక నా ఓటు హక్కు వినియోగించు కోలేదు. అది నా తప్పు అని కూడా అనవచ్చు. కాని నా ఉద్దేశ్యం ..... నా ఉద్దేశ్యం పెద్ద ముఖ్యమైనది కాకపాయినా ....
చాలా మందికి ఓటు వేసే తీరిక లేక వెయ్యటం లేదు అనేది ఒక వాదన ... కాని చాలామందికి నిజానికి ఓటు హక్కు లేదు.
ఉదాహరణ నేను -రవికిరణ్ పెరుమాళ్ళ అనబడు నేను రాజమండ్రి కి చెందినా వాడిని ఐనా గత ఎనిమిదే సంవత్సరాలుగా నేను ఆ ఊరిలో లేక పోవడం వల్ల నాకు అక్కడ ఓటు లేదు. ఇది నేను అంగీ కరిస్తాను కాని నేను ఎక్కడ ఉంటే అక్కడ ఉండాలి కదా అని నా సందేహం? దీనికి ప్రభుత్వం ఒక ప్రణాళిక ప్రకారం అందరికి గుర్తింపు కార్డులు ఇట్చి ఈ కార్డు చూపిన వారు ఏ ప్రాంతంలో ఉన్నా దగ్గరలోని పోలింగు కేంద్రాని వెళ్లి వోటు వేసే పరిస్తితి రావని కోరుకుంటున్నాను. దానికి బహుసా నేను చాల సంవత్సరాలు వేచి చుడ్డాలి అనుకుంటున్నా.

I would like to share my first day experience in Amravati and @ shekar’s tapri. That time shekar was inside our college premises near outdoor stadium. Me, Gajju, Lokya went for a tea in the morning around 7:30 AM. We ordered for tea and sat on the grass waiting for the tea. Four guys came there; all are above 6 feet with a good body built. All are sweating and carrying some packet in their hands. They ordered 2 milk, and took some pav-samosa and sat beside us. They opened the packet they brought with them, I could see 10-15 boiled eggs in it. The pav-samosa were around 8 -10. for my surprise the 2 milk were 2 ½ ltr packets for each person. Shekar brought 4 mugs of milk and kept before them. I could not resist myself by asking a question who they are? They are our college M.P.Ed(Masters in Physical Education) students after that I got used to see that kind of breakfast everyday.

The first Pav-Samosa I had in my life was at Shekar’s tapri. As a south Indian and a coffee lover from childhood I never liked to have tea, but after having tea at Shekar’s tapri I started liking tea. The ginger tea prepared by Shekar not only has a good taste, it is good for health too.

I think this the credit goes to our seniors making that good rapport with Shekar by treating him as a friend instead of a tea vendor. He was always ready to help MCA guys with anything he could. I personally took money when I was in need, waiting for DD from home. He was the part of our hostel; we called him for all our parties which are exclusively for hostel members.

There are many things used to happen here, usually movie plans, birthday preparations, shopping plans, the most important Party plans.

We all miss this happening place now and hope we will go back and have some good time again.

Note: I recently came to know that Shekhar is now opened a Juice center instead of Chai tapri on Badnera road.

I wish he would grow from juice center to hotel and chain of hotels ...... so on.

Semi up / Semi Down :) [Hostel Days XI]

P.S: Sorry for the delay happened to get back to you with the latest edition of my Hostel Days XI.

Guyz,
I believe most of the team members remember the title Semi Up and Semi Down, because it is the most popular dialog in our Panchmadi trip.
Panchmadi, the beautiful forest and hill station in Madhya Pradesh. I think that is the year 2002 – Oct/Nov month. Our senior in college Rajesh Dange’s sister marriage was there in a village called Nandan, M.P. We all in the hostel planned to go for this wedding to help him in the marriage. But we even had a plan to visit Panchmadi the hill station of MP. Of course this was a known plan, the journey itself was a life time memory to many of us. While going we went from Nagpur to Chindwara by train and from there a memorable bus journey of 3-4 hrs till Nandan.
Somehow we reached the place Nandan and asked somebody how to reach Dange’s house, as it is a small village we thought anybody can help us and even that was correct and we got the ‘s information, but the guy who explained the root in the below funny way – go straight , “take first left, you will get a SEMI UP, then take a right from there, you will get SEMI DOWN, go till the end you will find the house”. From that day our trip was of a week and wherever we found up or down we used to laugh for a minute. Anyways we went to the temple of Nandan on a hill in the evening it was really awesome place to stay for some time and see the nice sun set from there.
The next day was the marriage, we enjoyed the marriage lunch and we started for Panchmadi from there next day.

We took a TRAX to reach our destination; it was a awesome and pleasant drive through grazing lands, drenches, forests, woods etc to reach our destination. By the time we reached it was little dark and we planned for camp fire but didn’t work. . We got some accommodation and settled well for the night and took rest to start our expedition from next day. We went to many points next day the places I remember are ‘Bees fall, Chota Maha Dev, Bada Maha Dev, Pandav Kund, Draupadi Kund, Sun Set Point and most important one …. Duchess Fall.’
Most of these places were pleasant and gave us a really good memories for life time.
Some highlights I would like to re-collect are
- Baid (Sachin Vaidya) ‘s Bhalu and Share. When we went to Duchess Fall there are large sign boards saying that is a Tiger Zone. When we are walking towards to fall there was some movement before some feet, we all stopped for a moment Baid said, it’s a Tiger……., but after few seconds one Dog came out of the bush. The same happened in the “Bear Zone”
- Bada Maha Dev – This is an unforgettable place with millions of Trishuls all over the hill. The size of these Tishuls goes from 2-3 cms to 2-3 meters, climb the hill with out carrying anything in your hands would be very difficult for a healthy person and Ia can’t even imagine the people carry the 2-3 meter size trishul while climbing this hill.
- Draupadi Kund – this is the place where many shootings took place like Shahrukh Khan ‘Asoka’. The chilling water in this place was created a doubt that we have our feet after few minutes in water. The tea we had after coming out from this kund was awesome and the costliest ever I had before that day .

- Duchess fall – This was the best part of our trip as many people on the way to this place told us not to go there, we became very curious and wanted to see what exactly it is. Our driver took us to a place where we can’t see any water near by and told us to take one path and walk for some time to reach the water fall. We started walking for 10- 15 minutes and we don’t even hear any voice but we realized that we are going downwards from a hill peak we walked for 10 more minutes to hear some voice of water and after 10 more minutes walk we finally reached the water fall. After coming back we realized that we went down for 800 feet and came back. While going there we had lot of fun as mentioned above.
So, that’s all for now let’s meet again with some other story after some time ………..

Note: All the statements below are only my personal feelings.

Bangalore / Bengaluru : Silicon valley of Asia, Garden city of India.
I recently changed my job and moved from Pune to Bangalore. I was in Bangalore for couple of months some time in 2003. I was in rainy season I guess... anyways I felt ok that time even after considering the traffic, pollution, weather etc. In the New Year 2009 I decided to move to Bangalore as I got much better offer, and came. I could see lot of difference as any other city lot of increase in flyovers, traffic, pollution but the main difference I notices and many people feeling is the change in weather conditions of Bangalore. Now the summers are not as better as earlier. It was really pleasant even in summers before 5 yrs. I felt the same in case of pune. It was much better in all ways before 5 yrs. What could be the cause of this change?
Nobody is worried about the changes happening near by?
The small things happen near to us make this difference? if yes what are they ?
Bangalore is famous as garden city, but in the recent past many people noticing that many trees are disappearing from roads near to their office or home or on the way they go every day.
The day before one of my team member was going back to home and on the usual turn to his home noticed something missing on the road and realized after few seconds..... The big banyan tree on that turn is not there.
Similar experiences are there with almost all people in Bangalore.
This could be the main reason behind the increase of Bangalore summer temperature. The traffic and vehicles are increasing day by day and the trees are decreasing, which can absorb the carbon dioxide.
What is the need to destroy these trees? The corporation people has reason to say – ‘to improve the infrastructure and roads of Bangalore.’
I don’t know what all we could do to prevent our lives from pollution. May be we need to start some ‘Chipko’ movement again to prevent trees from cutting. This was a movement initiated by some female peasants in Uttarakhad, India where these people used to ‘Chipak’ ( to Stick in Hindi) to trees when somebody tries to cut a tree. This was a social awareness they tried to develop in the un educated people, but nowadays educated people don’t have time to even think about these kind of things even after knowing the effects of destroying trees.
I think after some years this city is going to be a silicon city only instead of Garden city of India.
Let’s think about it at least…. This is not the problem of only Bengaluru, the whole India is facing this problem.

'Slumdog - Millionaire ?'

After a long time, I guess after 2 months I started Scribbling in my blog,
many people asked me too, nothing happening in blog. I would say thanks to all of them who took time to have a look at this page.

Please don't consider this as a review of the movie, these are my thought before and after watching this movie.

I watched the movie Slumdog Millionaire this weekend and I felt some positives and negatives after watching this movie. Many people don't like reality movies because they know the reality and want to enjoy or watch something superstitious which will not happen or can't do by themselves. I mean beating 20 people in one slap like Rajanikanth does in his movies.
Some people want to laugh and spend some good time by watching a movie.
This movie don't have anything like this but I could say this is not 100% reality movie. Many things shown in this film are not that easy as shown. By considering this we can say that this is a just another commercial movie, but there are lot of people who said this is reality movie because it showed the life of slums in Mumbai.
In fact many people (Amitabh) criticized that this American producer want to showcase the Indian poverty and make awards from it. India don't have only poverty and slums :(
I heared a voice that he said that because in the movie, Hero ( Jamal Malik ) got an autograph from Amitabh who came out of deep shit with Amitabh's photograph.
But I do agree with this part of Amitabh every channel and news paper stated that "Indian Oscar deams might get fulfilled this time with Slumdog".
I don't understand why this could be? This is not an Indian film. This is a hollywood movie, only some of our actors and A R Rehman gave the music to this film.
But I feel, getting an Oscar for this film is not the success of Indian cinema.
Anyhow this would the biggest honor for an Indian music director.

Lets leave this apart and have a look at the other side of the film, some activist from mumbai filed a suite against this movie that how can they say a "Slum- DOG" this will hurt many people staying slums and down their morale. but in the recent past I could see many stories as -
"Slumdog Millionaire has changed the way I see slum kids" so this is still an open question to all.
So, over all this film has created lot of waves in all kinds of people from bollywood biggies to slum -dogs ;)

School Memories - Part II

If you missed School Memories Part I.
Here I am going to give introductions of some of our teachers whom I missed in my previous part. All the below mentioned characters are real and not fictitious, but any offensive comment on any character is not intentional.

Telugu Teacher - Her name is Shyamala. She always used to call us lambu jambu ( me and JNS) She never wrote a single sentence on the black board. I used to write the notes if required (I got many compliments from my teachers that my hand writing is very good.) If she need anything like deposits in Post office and bank etc. She used to send me and JNS for all these things, don't ask is this legal to do?
Maths Teacher - His name is Suryanarayana Murthy. He is really a good teacher with lot of knowledge and dedication towards teaching. He never waste a single minute in any class in my knowledge. Many students are afraid of him mostly those who don't read formulas. He is famous for his scoldings, they are very funny but the guyz used to feel bad when he scold them before the class (I mean before girls :)
Hindi Teacher - I don't remember her name but she is famous as Hindi teacher. She always teaches good but she is short tempered, if any student do any mistake she would become angry and scold them very hard but no student fear about this teacher. Even if she tried to beat any student she used to get injured instead of students. I still remember one incident I think when I was in seventh standard, She came to school on her Luna Super and there was a medium size bump at our school gate and she was unable to push this Luna above it and she asked me to push Luna from behind, now you can imagine her strength ;)
Physics Teacher - His name is Satyanarayana Raju. His style is very different than others. He always used to sit on the table instead of chair and he always used to carry many small pieces of Chalk with him to throw on the students who make any noise in the class. One more specialty of him is always called the students with their Sir name (Last name) instead of first name which is very rare in south india.
Natural Science Teacher -His name is Balakrishna. I fell he is the coolest person on the earth. He used to take the lesson as slow as possible. I would like to share one secret information about him, He used to have hair on all his body so, we (Confined circle of my friends) used to call him bear.
Head Master - His name is Vishwamohan Rao, he used to take us very small number of classes of social studies. His specialty is unique, he used to remove all his belonging like wrist watch, gold rings and pull out his wallet from the pocket and put all these things on the table and then start his lesson. I thought many times what if somebody stole any of those things while he was writing something on the board.

I would like to conclude now for today, will get back you with more funny incidents and sweet memories soon.

Bail Out Software !!!

The recent past was really bad for all businesses all over the world, whether it is Bank, Oil, Manufacturing or Software. I was reading some articles about this why this happened in US and came to know some facts which I would like to share with you all.

US Bailout
In the US, borrowers are rated either as 'prime' - indicating that they have a good credit rating based on their track record - or as 'sub-prime', meaning their track record in repaying loans has been below par. Loans given to sub-prime borrowers, something banks would normally be reluctant to do, are categorized as sub-prime loans.

Typically, it is the poor and the young who form the bulk of sub-prime borrowers. Due to the housing boom in US, banks gave loans to the sub-prime borrowers in very huge ratio by their subsidiaries for huge rate of interest. Banks thought they the real estate is going to get very good returns though the barrowers don’t return the money they took. The banks were aware that these loans can turn to defaulters that could be the reason they imposed very high rate of interest on them, this caused the problem for banks and increase the number of defaulters.

Software Bailout(?)

There are many questions coming up particularly in India regarding software industry. Everybody on the road you meet is discussing about software industry. I don’t know how many people know what’s happening in the market or in US or in India.

The questions I got in last couple of weeks are as below …….

- Is software affected with this financial problem of US?

- Is software going down?

- Companies removing their employees?

- Some companies going to close soon?

Some statements from people (who think they know everything).

- Hey, you know Software is going down may be with in one month many companies are going to close.

- You must be aware, that many people coming back to India after loosing their jobs in US.

- I think you must be prepared to loose your job soon.

Thanks to all these market and software experts but I do have some questions for them.

Do you know how many software applications, products and clients using these software?

How many of you know how many software engineers you need to maintain the current available applications and products?

How many projects are in development, design, maintenance and support phases?

If we don’t know any of the answers for above questions why are we commenting on the things like layoffs and some industry is going to fail or many software engineers going to loose their jobs.

My Conclusion

According to me, there could be some slog time for software industry until the world economy settle down and start growing again. But this is not an industry which will fall completely in future. Though they have many features and facilities in current applications the clients requirements are always changes and they need somebody to help them out in analyzing, design and code their requirements. So, the languages may change, operating systems may change, frame works may change, databases might change too but the industry remains.

Buffalo Theory

I am not sure how many of you aware of this theory. I heard this theory couple of years back and I liked this very much and you have to agree the fact this theory brings in. This is a must read for all "Mandli" people. I would like to see all your comments on this .......

I could really see these things not all.....but definitely some changes are there in myself, If you think you have some more in you please add.

2. Tries to use credit card in road side hotel.

3. Drinks and carries mineral water and always speaks of health conscious.

4. Sprays deo such so that he doesn't need to take bath.

5. Sneezes and says 'Excuse me'.

Says "Yogurt" instead says "Curds".
Says "Cab" instead of "Taxi".

16. Tries to drink "Diet Coke", instead of Normal Coke.

17. Tries to complain about any thing in India as if he is experiencing it for the first time.

18. Pronounces "schedule" as "skejule", and "module" as "mojule".

19. Looks suspiciously towards Hotel/Dhaba food.

20. From the luggage bag, does not remove the stickers of Airways by which he traveled back to India , even after 4 months of arrival.

Mission Kashmir

We all know Kashmir issue is burning since we got independence, I read a joke recently which declares that Kashmir is of India not of Pakistan for sure.
but, this is just for fun, no offense.

An ingenious example of speech and politics occurred recently in the United Nations Assembly that made the world community smile.

A representative from India began: 'Before beginning my talk I want to tell you something about Rishi Kashyap of Kashmir, after whom Kashmir is named.

When Rishi Kashyap struck a rock and it brought forth water, he thought, 'What a good opportunity to have a bath.'

He removed his clothes, put them aside on the rock and entered the water.

When he got out and wanted to dress, his clothes had vanished. A Pakistani had stolen them.

The Pakistani representative jumped up furiously and in support of Pakistan, he shouted, 'What are you talking about? The Pakistanis weren't there then.'

The Indian representative smiled and said, 'And now that we have made that clear, I will begin my speech.'

School Memories -Part I

VI - VII

Everybody has many Experiences at their school time some sweet and some sour memories. Some we want to share and some we don't want to..... but still I think whatever we could we should share with as many as possible. I am glad that, I am still connected to some of my school friends which usually not possible in this wast and busy world. Of course we will not be able to be in touch with all the friends for ever :(
Ok let's not drag this more and try to get into the point.
That is the Prakash Nagar area, Rajahmundry. East Godavari Dist., Andhra Pradesh.
On monday morning 9 O'clock there were many kids with big school bags going inside a big gate with an Arch above it which said Prakasam Centenary Memorial High School (PCM).
1992 Oct, I entered this gate with my dad by watching the surroundings all kids were wearing white shirt and blue half pants. I understand that this must be the uniform of this school. I was going to join this school for my VI standard as my dad moved from near village to the town for our studies.
I was little scared as I was not sure how this school and friends going to be and most important part was teachers. They might be very strict about the assignments and home work in which I am not good at.

Once my admission formalities are done, clerk told me to go to the first floor last room named VI-B. I said OK and went there by saying bye to my dad.

I went inside and there was no teacher in the class, I reached first bench and no one sitting there I kept my bag there and sat there. After some time one boy came inside the class and directly came to me and said this is my place try to sit in 2nd bench at that time I wasn't know that he is Sashil and going to be my best by next year. I had to move back this repeated again and I moved directly to the last bench. This was my first day experience in school. The class teacher was Subbalaxmi teacher, she was very cool and very kind in nature. I will never forget her for sure. She used to help economically backward students with books, uniforms etc.
By completion of this year I can say I don't have any friend close to me in this period of time. But Venky (Venkateswarlu Salagramam) was one who would come to my house and we used to play games at his home with his brother and study together for exams etc.
We reached VII and the class teacher was Sharada teacher. She is so think and has a little sick look. but she is very strict in the class and she used to beat the students if they create any mess in the class. She always wanted the class "pin drop silence", and she was successful in maintaining that too.
I had to sit on the last bench even in this class as people used to carry on their places class to class. I was so scared in sharda teacher's class and I never created any mess where most of the last benchers used to create problems. She noticed me when we got the marks of first unit test. I got much better marks than some of the first bench students I guess. I was not sure what was the reason, She called me one day in the class by pointing the finger, I was so scared .... I thought what mistake I did? but she said what is your name? I said with a very low voice ... "RaviKiran". She screamed, say it loudly. I said in a much bigger voice "Ravi Kiran" teacher. Ok, from tomorrow you sit in the first bench, beside Sashil. I said Ok and sit back in my seat. I was happy inside and at the same time afraid of this teacher.
This way, I transited my place to first bench and making friends at first bench. I got the place beside the class topper "Shashil Kumar Reddy". and I was not aware of the guy next to me on the other side. He looked cute with his chubby cheaks and wheatish complection. I said hello to him and he smiled back. We exchanged names his name was Ramchandran(referred as JNS in nex pages), it would take a full like if I write his complete named over here (Jayanti Naga Srinivasa Ramachandran). Now he is my one of the best Pal in the list. This way we three became bench mates. Ofcourse here I have to tell another name Venu Gopal, he was the second rank holder and a book worm too. we usually saw him reading books, nothing else. we used to play in the lunch hour by finishing our lunch ASAP, but this guy used to sit in the class and reading books.
Soon, I could make my best friends JNS and Sashil from this school. I joined a tuition class in my father's friend institute Modern Tuition Center (MTC) which is very famous in our town as well. Me and Sashil joined the same institute and in same batch. So, we started going together to the tuition. where as JNS and Venu Gopal joined Sharada teacher's tutorial school. but we never had any issue for this with teacher. She was quite ok but she always wanted somebody from her institute come as first in our class. Even it was happened for many times, Venu gopal stood first many times in many subjects.

Here I have to tell my position was very volatile always and I used to be in top five some where.
I would like to mention other bright students of our school hear JNS was first after the above two and I was also considered as an intelligent student ;). Then our friends list got increased to more number because of the Quiz program conducted by Sharada teacher between girls and boys. This Quiz used to be in every week and could be anytime. but the topic and subject was fixed a week before. So, we (Boys) have a fixed plan every week after the school unlike girls and read each of us one chapter completely and complete it before the due date.So, we made a team of guys Sashil, Venu, JNS, Me, Nagaraju, Venkateswarlu, MV Kiran, Uma Shankar.
This way we all became good friends and we used to exchange books, guide each other when required.
There are many things to Share but right now I am concluding with this.
